Whilst studying for a BA International Business Management, earthwild partnership’s Co-Executive Director, Sibel Lami gained her first experience working within the third sector. One of her modules involved a work placement with Home-Start Aberdeen. The project Sibel managed was market research seeking the views of families about the work the charity provides and to get the users input into how Home-Start can develop as an organisation. An important part of the process was to feed the results of the work into the review of their Strategic Plan, give advice on how Home-Start can embed the approach into organisational development, on-going and future strategic planning. Throughout 2020, Sibel has provided the lead management with grant development planning for Petit Miracle Interiors. This involved writing funding applications and proposals to charitable trusts and foundations, in partnership with the charity’s CEO, which resulted in the delivery of more than £140,000.
Butterfly Conservation was the first charity Gary Roberts, Co-Executive Director of earthwild partnership, became actively involved with. Enjoying a 15-year relationship with this amazing charity as a volunteer, board director and consultant and playing a lead role with their communications, marketing, fundraising and development during a period of organisational growth and change, governance, charity and conservation management of endangered butterflies, moths and their habitats.
